Francesco Campanini is no stranger for BUT insiders. Two years ago he came here with Il Solitario at the festival which was rightly nominated. With that movie he showed he is a very good filmmaker. 2 years later, he finished his next film and another has another nomination in his pocket.

House in The Wind of Death seems like a pretty standard mobsters movie when it starts. The building of tension is magnificent and has some beautiful camera work. But what you do not know is that Campanini is setting the viewers on the wrong track. The twist at the end of this movie is one that you did not see coming. He made a crossover between two genres and that can be risky. He  gets away with it clean and shows that he is not limited to one genre. House in the Wind of Death is a film in the true spirit of BUT!
